Roundtable "The Economy of the Republic of Moldova in 2025"
The public association "Alpha Institute of Strategic Branding" (abbreviated: INBRASA) held its first event on January 23, 2025, as part of a series of planned actions with direct and indirect significance. These actions imply a comprehensive and long-term impact on the mentality of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova, aiming to update their consciousness and the country as a whole for future challenges and to shape the Republic of Moldova into a resilient nation-brand; namely, a space of accelerated development, something between Silicon Valley and Singapore, but assembled according to its own blueprint.
The task is ambitious, complex, but with the collective, feasible contribution of everyone within the framework of strategic branding and the designated vector—it is achievable.
Considering a series of crises in which our country has found itself in recent years, and the pressing need for an objective, open discussion of problems and the search for solutions, the Institute chose the format of the initial event—a roundtable—and the topic: "The Economy of the Republic of Moldova in 2025. Bottlenecks and Growth Points."
The event featured 6 industry speakers, and a general overview of the current economic situation was provided. These were: Alexei Moldovan (economist, marketer – general economic overview), Ilya Trombitsky (ecologist – 'ecology' subsection), Sergey Mereuța (software engineer – 'IT' subsection), Eugen Gîrla (head of the Renewable Energy Association of the RM – 'energy' subsection), Vitaliy Yatsyuk (architect – 'infrastructure' subsection), Ruslan Dragoman (entrepreneur – 'production/services' subsection), Irina Stakheeva (sommelier, founder of the Sommelier Association of the RM – 'production/winemaking' subsection).
The goal of the roundtable, in addition to the above, was also to move beyond mono-areas by seeking solutions through cross-sectoral communication among specialists and participants in the room. The ensuing discussion showed that this format is unusual but very interesting and promising.
In addition to Elena Radu, the head of INBRASA, who acted as the organizer and moderator of the event, direct participants in the room included Denis Roșca (Doctor of Economics), Dmitry Tărbucă (economist, real estate appraiser), Galina Șelari (economist), Natalia Uzun (journalist), Tatiana Sinyaeva (Doctor of Ecology), Svetlana Derevshchikova (journalist), Svetlana Bîrsan (Doctor of Philology, economist), Mikhail Poysik (Doctor of Economics), Ivan Banu (economist, photographer), Yana Chezhegova (interior decorator), and others.
Sincere thanks to the B. P. Hașdeu Municipal Library for providing the hall and assistance in organizing the event.
The public association "Alpha Institute of Strategic Branding" (INBRASA), established in 2024 as a private initiative, invites all those concerned about the fate of Moldova and open to dialogue/cooperation to join it. Everyone will have the opportunity not only to update themselves for future challenges but also to become part of the team and a driver of development for everything around them.
